What it is

What is full face rejuvenation?

Full face rejuvenation isn't a treatment: it's a strategy. A face ageing along multiple axes (skin quality, bone loss, fat-compartment shift, muscle activity) needs more than one tool. The art is choosing which combination, in which order, in what dose, over what timeframe.

A good plan does less than the menu suggests and more than the eye expects. Patients describe the result as 'I look like me, but better'; rarely 'I look different'. The goal is the recovery of a face you remember, not the construction of a face you don't.

  • Treatment plan

    Multi-modal

Wrinkle relaxer, filler, skin and lifting tools combined.

  • Over months

    Staged

Sequenced for the best result and the lowest combined risk.

  • Not five lists

    One face

Treatment moves with anatomy: not down a menu.

What it treats

What does full face rejuvenation treat?

Full face rejuvenation is most often planned for multi-factorial facial ageing: lines, volume, skin quality, definition together. The treatment only makes sense when it matches the cause of your concern; here is where it fits.

  • Multi-factorial facial ageing

    Explore this concern

    Why it happens

Ageing happens at the bone, fat-pad, muscle, and skin levels simultaneously. Treating only one (only filler, only wrinkle relaxer, only skin) addresses a third of the problem.

    Treatment role

Coordinated, staged treatment across modalities lets each tool do its proper job while the others handle the rest. The whole is more than the sum.

  • Loss of facial definition

    Explore this concern

    Why it happens

Definition lost across the mid-face, jawline and brow at once needs zone-by-zone restoration, not one-spot work.

    Treatment role

A full-face plan addresses each zone in sequence so the proportional relationships stay right while individual areas are restored.

Results

Each case is a single composite photographed at the practice: the concern that brought the patient in, the treatment performed, and the point at which the result was reviewed. Outcomes vary from person to person. This is clinical context, not a promise.

Every consented case across all treatments
Before and after composite in three-quarter view following full face rejuvenation, with the cheek, jawline and lips treated together
This result is specific to this patient and will not necessarily reflect another person's outcome.

Softening through the mid-face, jawline and lips assessed as a whole

How it works

How does full face rejuvenation work?

01 / 04

The four layers of facial ageing

Bone (resorption changes the platform), deep fat pads (deflate and slide), muscle (frequently over-active causing dynamic lines), skin (thins, dries, weakens). Each layer needs the right tool: bone changes get filler at depth; fat-pad shifts get lifting; muscle issues get wrinkle relaxer; skin needs skin work. Treating one and ignoring three is why single-modality plans plateau.

Sequence matters

Order changes outcome. Lift first when possible, then add volume in the corrected position. Calm over-active muscles before chasing the lines they're causing. Treat skin alongside, not after, because skin quality is what makes injectable work invisible. We map the sequence at consultation rather than treating the next thing on the menu.

Restrained, natural-looking facial rejuvenation result at Aesthetic Doctors Australia Step 03

03 / 04

Restraint is part of the plan

The over-treated faces you see online are full-face plans that lost their proportional discipline: too much filler everywhere, too much volume in too few sessions. The discipline is knowing when to stop. We dose conservatively, stage the work, and review before the next decision.

The face moves

A static result is half the brief. We assess your face in animation (smiling, frowning, speaking) because most aesthetic missteps look fine at rest and wrong in motion. Treatment plans respect how your face actually moves.

Whether it suits you

Is full face rejuvenation right for you?

The two lists below are where that answer starts; it is confirmed in person, never assumed. Balanced information protects you.

May be suitable for

  • Patients in their 40s+ with multi-factorial concerns
  • Patients in their 30s with strong genetic factors or premature ageing
  • Anyone who has been treating one area at a time and feels the result isn't holding together
  • Patients wanting a proper plan rather than a procedure

May not be suitable for

  • Patients wanting one specific tweak. Those usually need a single treatment, not a programme
  • Patients with unrealistic timelines (e.g., visible transformation for an event next week)
  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding for any injectable component
  • Active autoimmune or healing conditions warranting individual review

The assessment

What happens at a full face rejuvenation consultation?

Expertise shows in process. Before any recommendation, your consultation examines:

Book your assessment
  1. 01

What you yourself want to look like, and what you specifically don't want

  2. 02

All four ageing layers (bone, fat-pad, muscle, skin) assessed independently

  3. 03

Animation: how the face moves while smiling, frowning, speaking

  4. 04

Previous treatments, including anything that should be dissolved before starting fresh

  5. 05

Realistic budget and timeline; we don't pretend a one-visit transformation exists

  6. 06

Whether surgery is in the conversation and at what stage

What to expect

How long does full face rejuvenation take to work?

The short version: cumulative; reviewed at each stage with photography. Stage by stage:

  1. Visit 1

    Consultation & plan

Full assessment, photography, sequenced multi-stage plan with quotes per stage.

  2. Months 1–3

    Foundation stage

Often: skin work + targeted wrinkle relaxer. Lays the groundwork for any volume work.

  3. Months 3–6

    Structural stage

Volume restoration where the assessment showed it: jaw, cheek, chin, temple as needed. Always staged.

  4. Months 6–9

    Refinement

Detail work on lips, under-eye, neck. Photographic review against baseline.

  5. Annual

    Maintenance

Lighter touch-ups; the foundational work holds for years.

Recovery

What is recovery like after full face rejuvenation?

Typical downtime: per-session downtime varies by modality used. The specifics:

What's normal afterwards

  • Varies by modality: each session has its own short recovery
  • Cumulative result emerges over the programme, not after each visit

What to avoid

  • Per-treatment aftercare instructions for each modality
  • Significant facial trauma between visits

Risks and limits

What are the risks of full face rejuvenation?

No effective treatment is risk-free, and no treatment does everything. Knowing both sides is part of informed consent.

Possible side effects

  • Per-modality side effects (bruising, swelling, tenderness)
  • Risk of treatment fatigue if the plan is too dense: built into our scheduling
  • Combined risk across modalities, mitigated by staging

Limitations to understand

  • Cannot reverse skin laxity surgically requires
  • Cumulative result requires patience: patients seeking instant transformation should consider surgery
  • Maintenance is part of the contract: pattern ageing is chronic
  • Budget should be planned for the whole programme, not visit-by-visit

The alternatives

Full face rejuvenation compared with the alternatives

Full-face plan vs treating individual concerns

Full-face plan

  • Proportional, coordinated, staged
  • Considers all layers
  • Higher upfront cost, more reward

Single-treatment approach

  • Lower commitment
  • Right for isolated concerns
  • Risk of incoherent overall look over time

Which one If your concern is genuinely one area, treat one area. If your concern is 'I look tired and older across the board', a plan beats a procedure.

What it costs

What does full face rejuvenation cost?

You receive an itemised written quote at consultation, before committing to anything. The consultation is $75 for 45 minutes with Dr Rakib Uddin, redeemed against your treatment if you go ahead.

Each stage is quoted separately; the consultation produces the full plan with totals before anything is committed to.

What determines your quote

  • 01 Number and type of modalities used
  • 02 Staging across visits
  • 03 Maintenance schedule
  • 04 Whether assessment leads to fewer treatments than expected (it often does)

You commit to nothing in advance: the consultation costs nothing and the quote is written before anything is booked. If the recommendation is not to treat, that advice is the whole appointment.

Afterpay acceptedZip accepted

Afterpay and Zip are available for treatment fees at the clinic, subject to each provider's own approval and terms.

Expert questions

The questions worth asking about full face rejuvenation.

The questions that come up in the room, answered the way Dr Rakib answers them.

Will I look 'done'?

Not if the plan is built on restraint. The over-treated look comes from doing too much, too quickly, in too few areas. Our plans dose conservatively, stage the work, and review before the next decision, and the design goal is for nobody to know.

How long will the whole programme take?

Typically 6–9 months from start to finished baseline, with annual maintenance after. Concentrated plans can run faster; cautious plans run slower. We don't promise transformation in weeks because anatomy doesn't work that way.

What does it cost overall?

It varies substantially with what your anatomy actually needs. A consultation produces the plan with stage-by-stage quotes. Many patients find a full plan involves less injectable spend than they'd otherwise spent in piecemeal treatment elsewhere.

Can I start with one area and expand later?

Yes, and many patients do. The advantage of a consultation now even if you only treat one area is the map: knowing the shape of the eventual plan helps every single decision along the way.

What if I just want my lips done?

Then have your lips done. A full-face plan is for patients who feel multiple things have shifted at once, not for patients with a single targeted concern. Clear advice is part of the brief.
